Intel announced Sunday that is has chosen the name "Atom" for a new family of ultra-small chips.

That's just silly. It hurts Atom and it will hurt Intel (okay, not very much). Maybe the first thing they should do when they're looking to name a product is do a web search and see if there are any other, you know, techie things with the same name.
